I was referred to this forum as a possible place to find excellent Qt developers for my project. I'm making a desktop application that must work on Mac and Windows. For various reasons I've ruled out Java and Flash/swf2exe (not sure of other good options).
This should be an interesting project. The interface is pretty simple but highly graphical - it will contain some standard gui elements but most everything else will consist of custom colors, image-based buttons, etc. It'll have several tabs, two panes (one resizeable) and some form input for user settings. The app will render some 3D objects (bitmap-textured spheres) that are positioned by specific formula and respond to user's mouse. It will also manipulate the Mac dock icon and Windows system tray icon, have Print options, csv export, among other things; but those are probably the key elements. I have a screenshot prototype image for you to look at so you can see exactly what I'm needing, and will of course provide specs for all the program features.
I need a solid, stable application so I'm looking for someone highly experienced. If you're the right person, there is definite future work involved for this application and other Qt/C++ software I have planned.
Work will be remote on a freelance basis. Going through oDesk.com is preferred, secondarily rentacoder/elance/guru, but I also could pay via PayPal. Choose your own hours, but I'd like this completed as soon as possible, within the next 20-40 days ideally.
Please let me know if you're interested, and be sure to include your hourly rate, past experience with Qt/C++, and availability. I'll reply with the prototype screenshot so you can give me an estimate of time.
