Horizon Wimba develops classroom collaboration software for online education, language learning and interactive communications: http://www.horizonwimba.com.

What You'll Do:
Work as part of our Software Development Team, focusing on our exciting new educationally focused communications tool, Pronto. Technologies we use/develop or consider using/developing include
* Linux servers.
* Java, C and C++ backends.
* Voice over IP (VoIP) technology
* Video technology
* HTML, Java, and native client-side software.
For this position, we are looking for a talented engineer, with experience developing cross-platform, native desktop applications. Experience with the QT widget set (as used in KDE) would be most preferred.
Requirements:
* 2+ years experience with cross-platform desktop applications.
* Experience with a cross-platform toolkit like QT, wxWindows or similar.
* Experience with Windows, and Linux or Mac OS X.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Very organized and responsible.
* Proactive.
* A computer science or computer engineering degree is preferred but not required.
Bonus Requirements: (candidates having experience developing one or more of these technologies would be ideal)
* Audio and/or VoIP
* Video capture/processing/display
* Instant Messaging (jabber, etc) development experience
* Digital telephony systems (soft-switches)
* Java Server systems (servlets/JSP)
