Project Details: Motion analysis software is used to calculate the parameters such as distance, velocity, accelerations and deformation angle as a function of line for mechanical parts. This data is then used to design equipments for optimal performance. The application takes any kind of CAD parts as an input, simulates the model and generates the output files of its own type.
The software GUI framework is based on a cross platform Qt GUI toolkit. Present work involves understanding basic physics and mechanics and implementation of various features for Motion Analysis Software. This includes designing a property editor GUI layout using Qt Designer, integrate layout with data model, implementing business logic using C++ code, integration with framework and implementation of 3D symbol for canvas in OpenGL for each motion modeling object.

Project Details: FEA software is used to study the stresses and strains on mechanical parts or structure. It involves descretization of CAD model into elements of predefined shape. It calculates deformed shape for minimum energy criteria.
The application is based on XML and cross platform Qt GUI toolkit. The core modules were available in the form of binaries and project involved understanding those core modules and implementing various preprocessing FEA features in the Qt based GUI framework which uses model view controller (MVC) architecture.
