We already have verdicts in two categories, so it's a matter of 2--3 weeks.

Oh. Ok. How much time might it be before the results are announced?

People went on vacation or sth, it's hard to fetch the results from them. We'll try to announce results ASAP. Sorry for the long delay, we'll try to do better next time.

Do we have a verdict? Is it possible to announce the results in the categories where you have the verdict?

Sorry, but still nothing. To ensure that the verdicts are objective we asked sponsors to delegate judges, so the winners could be chosen collectively, but we didn't take into account the holiday season, thus this lag.

We will wait until the end of week and announce the winners for all categories with a verdict.

We're going to have a full verdict after all. Just give us some time to prepare everything.

<<Just give us some time to prepare everything.>>

I think the delays may be reducing the charm and shine of the contest. Although I do understand what the organizers may be going through given that they have other mainstream jobs too.

From your previous post it looked like you had received the final say from all the judges. Can we have the verdict today?

Yes, we have received the results for the last category. The reason why we didn't publish them yet was quite prosaic --- I was sick.

Me neither...
But judging from the interest you have shown for the contest results I think everybody thought you were one of the contestants. You must be the people's advocate.

So, no book for you.

So, Marcel, why didn't you submit your final entry?

I assure you the results will be announced soon. I'm currently away, but when I'm back and results are still not announced, that will be one of the first things to take care of. It's just I'm currently busy with my own issues and DevDays preparations and Jacek was ill, like he already mentioned.

Is that a rhetorical question? Because I never could make the difference.
Anyway, I didn't submit it because it did not have time to finish it. New projects at work and a lot of new (java) stuff to learn...
Maybe next year, if there's going to be a 2nd contest edition.

Regards
