    Yesterday Trolltech annouced a new bugfix release for Qt and Qtopia 4.2 series. A lot of issues were fixed, mostly those with painting, item views and platform specific ones. Full changelog is available here.

    Today Trolltech announced the release of Qt4.2. Many new features were introduced - among them the long awaited QGraphicsView, widget style sheets and better platform integration.


    You can download Qt4.2 from Trolltech site using the download box in the bottom right corner of the main page of QtCentre.

    Today Trolltech announced availability of the first release candidate of the upcoming Qt 4.2 series.


    Qt 4.2 will introduce a long avaited replacement for the canvas module present in Qt3, which made it possible to efficiently operate on a large number of graphical objects. The replacement, known as Graphics View, is said to be able to operate on millions of items without major slowdowns. This opens a whole new world to Qt4 application develoment.

    Today Trolltech announced the first technology preview release of Qt Jambi. A new framework that brings power and simplicity of Qt to Java. It not only allows you to use Qt framework in Java applications, but also, thanks to Jambi Generator, you can mix both C++ and Java in a single project.

    For some time the Trolls were teasing us with news about the new Qt features and now finally we can see them for ourselves. The first Technology Preview edition of Qt 4.2 has been just released.


    It contains long-awaited QCanvas successor — QGraphicsView, better desktop integration, text completion and undo frameworks, D-BUS support (only under Unix) and some new widgets, like calendar widget and font combo box.     I have just received a new Qt Quarterly issue. It contains an article about mouse gestures written by Johan Thelin — one of the Qt Centre administrators and the author of Independent Qt Tutorial. There are also articles describing the Propery Browser framework (part of Qt Solutions) and Qt features specific to Mac OS X.

    Today Trolltech announced the next release of Qt 4.1 series – Qt 4.1.4 along with Qtopia Core 4.1.4. Improvements solve some compilation problems, crashes and platform specific issues. You can find the full changelog on the Trolltech site.
