make background invisible

hi all,
can anyone tell me, how to make the background invisible that is shown behind my application.

the green screen we see behind qt applications.

i've already tried show() & hide(), setMaximized() & setMinimized(), setAttribute(), but of no use.

help required urgently.

Are u talking about Qtopia ??
I havent seen green background on Qt apps on desktop
