View Full Version : Move the menuBar() to the system menu

Presently I port Qt4 on the Nokia n810 tablet. Qt4 and packages built well with cross compilation for Armel processor. The next work is to move the menu bar of QMainWindow to the system menu position (as in screenshot), that is the normal feature for this device. Have you some ideas about moving the menubar to the system menu?

You might look into Qt sources to see how it's done on Mac, because I assume you want something similar. It's probable there are some native calls involved, but it's worth to try. At worst you might probably reparent the menu bar and move it to the top of the screen. Setting some hints and attributes on the menu should help you make it look better.

Hi, jlbrd

Could you direct me on how you have ported Qt onto the N810 device.....I am using a OpenSuSe LInux machine. After a few searches, what i found is that

deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ diablo free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/ diablo free non-free
deb http://qt4.garage.maemo.org/ diablo extras

...need to be entered into the etc / apt / source.list file, However it gave a message 404 not found while running command apt-get update.
Is there a new respository where i should get Qt for the device?
