View Full Version : How to install Qt/Qtopia on embeded linux?

Hello,

I am using Motorola Cell (Motorokr E6). This cell has Linux as OS. I have search many forums about how to install Qt/Qtopia on this cell... But most of are not that much aware about Qt/Qtopia....

So anyone can please throw some lights on how to install Qt/Qtopia on linux installed in motorokr e6... maximum allowed external memory is 2GB... so i think this is sufficient to install QT/Qtopia....

But what is the exact problem you are facing? You can't complile Qtopia for your device or you can't deploy it or you can't run it or...?

Actually i have tried ./configure and then make ...
but cant able to do make... it is giving error like that platform is not supported to continue....

i dont know why??

Did you download and configure the toolchain for your platform?

i have downloaded qtopia-opensource-src-4.2.4.tar.gz and try to do it.... what is toolchains.. i want to know the concept...

You need a compiler (and its environment) that will be able to compile code for your device. You have to use it to compile Qtopia and then deploy it on the device.
