Hi,

does any one know of other companies besides KDAB (http://www.kdab.com/) that do Qt specific consulting and training in Europe in general and Germany in particular?

Thanks.

I'm working as freelancer in the Qt market since 10 years and my feeling is, that the market for commercial Qt development (projects and developers ) is still very small. That's why the companies that focus on Qt are mostly known and are not more than a couple of people. ( By the way: TrollTech has an office in Munich too, and AFAIR they try to do some consulting too ).

Uwe

PS: Are looking for Qt developers in Munich ?

Hi high_flyer,

I'm a freelancer as well and work together with two other freelancers.
We already have a couple of Qt projects done in the past.
Recently we did a Qt3-Qt4 migration .... That was fun ...;-)

In case you need help, feel free to contact me.

Good luck,

Tom

PS: Up to now I realized you as one of few guys here posting on a regular basis to answer questions here. Why do you need consulting - I think you already know a lot ....

Dani, if you need consultants from Poland, let me know :) Maybe we can arrange something.

BTW. Maybe Froglogic or basysKom would be the right choices in Germany? Unfortunately they are not in your area :)

@Uwe

PS: Are looking for Qt developers in Munich ?
Yes we are, but doesn't have to be Qt, any way, that is also not the reason for my question.
So of topic, if you are interested, or know some one (but they have to be really good, and at least 3 years of active C++ development) you can contact me.

@DeepDiver

Hehe... well I don't need consulting, but I am researching the field ;)
Never the less, thanks for the offer.
Are you in the Munich area Tom?

@Witek
As you can tell from my answer to Tom, I am not looking for consulting to use it, but am trying to evaluate how much commercial Qt consulting companies are present in Europe.
Funny enough, when I use google, there are a lot of links that look relevant, but when I follow the links, it never gets to anything that really deals with Qt, rather general consulting, which is why I thought to ask here (no better place actually right?)

My company (ICS, http:www.ics.com) can do Qt training and consulting in Europe, though we are primarily US/Canada.

Never the less, thanks for the offer.

No problem - I think we all are here because we like to help each other - that's the community scene ....

Are you in the Munich area Tom?

Hi high_flyer,

I run another company that does training, consulting and pretty much every thing else related to being Qt experts for hire. Our office is in Denmark, but most of our customers are actually German.

You can find us at http://www.thorsen-consulting.dk or http://www.qt-experts.com.

Sincerely,

Bo Thorsen.
