I think it's a problem with the building of the Qt classes database. Can you post the size of "/tmp/qttags" just before the crash. This file is built by ctags and parsed by qdevelop.

the size of "/tmp/qttags" is 753 MB :crying:

Ok. The size file is the problem. Please download this archive (http://jl.biord.free.fr/QDevelop-0.26-17-dec-1.zip). I modified the code which built the Qt database and I hope that this solve the problem. Say me if it works fine. Thanks.
PS: To build: untar the file. Go to the directory then enter "qmake" then "make". Launch qdevelop by "bin/qdevelop".

A new sources zip file is available at http://qdevelop.org/download. The Ubuntu and Windows packages should be available soon.
