cannot enable opengl-overlay

I tried to use overlay on QGLWidget but it didn't work, and QGLFormat::hasOpenGLOverlays() returns false.

I think it means I can't use overlay on my system.

What can I do to enable overlay?

My environment
Qt: 4.3.1 x11
OS: openSUSE 10.3(KDE)
graphic card: Nvidia Geforce 7600 GS

I am facing the same problem with enabling overlays. And my computer is beasty so it should be able to handle them.
Did you find a solution?
