Hardware info and product serials

How can I find any hardware product serial numbers like mainboard serial, HDD or gpu ? I need to use this for safety.
I just can find MAC adresses by using "QNetworkInterface::hardwareAddress".:confused:

P.S. I don't mean hardware models.

You have to use platform specific libraries to get this information. Whatever Linux or Microsoft offers.

Perhaps is GKrellM (http://members.dslextreme.com/users/billw/gkrellm/gkrellm.html) a good start to get some inspiration.
