Looks like we've reached the 100 000 posts barrier. If I am not mistaken the second batch of 50k (http://blog.wysota.eu.org/index.php/2007/10/09/50000-posts/) took slightly less time than the first (it has been about 20% faster I believe).

Just wondering if the admins would still consider rewarding the author of the 100 000th post and who it is.

The probability that it's Wysota is roughly 1:8

Releasing Qt under LGPL helped achieve this.

If we're able to identify who it was (which is unlikely) then why not?

No, not me :) I was absent for the last few days so it had to be someone else from over 11k members of the board.

Maybe not 11k members but just the 1000 active members

Et voilà . Post No. 100.000: http://www.qtcentre.org/forum/f-qt-programming-2/t-qregexp-confusion-20388-post100000.html

Found by using the following address: http://www.qtcentre.org/forum/showpost.php?p=100000
Simply change the number at the end and you get what you want. Lets say the first accessible post: http://www.qtcentre.org/forum/showpost.php?p=13

Damn! what's about a reward for the 100 001 post? It's even cooler:rolleyes:

There are currently 100321 posts on the board and your post has the id 101659. There are lots of posts that either have been deleted (i.e. because they were spam) or are simply invisible for the public (which means they don't count into statistics). So it's not that simple.

How about 123456th post? ;)

I think it's that simple :).
Posts in non-public forums (only for admins and moderators) also get a post ID.
Posts that were deleted once were posts. And they also got an ID.

So the post with the ID 100.000 is definitely the 100.000th post of QtCentre. If at this time really were exactly 100.000 posts stored in the database does not matter.
