Downloaded and installed QT Creator 2009.03, full sdk.
No designer in the QT menu like the manual says there should be.
What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks
Wayne

Make sure that Designer plugin is built.

I'm still lost here.

The QT help screen says:
"On Windows, click the Start button, under the Programs submenu, open the Qt 4 submenu and click Designer."

There is no Designer entry in my menu under QT.

This is a Windows installation. When I look in Help/About Plugins, it shows Designer in the list with a green check mark next to it.

What to check now?

Thanks,
Wayne

look in the file explorer in the dictionary where you have installed Qt. Under qt\bin there must be a designer.exe. If so, just create a shortcut for your menu.

Thanks - in QT\2009.03\bin there are files with names of
QtDesigner4.dll
QtDesignerComponents4.dll

But no designer.exe or qtdesigner.exe

I had the same problem with QT 2009.02 so I uninstalled it and downloaded and installed 2009.03 - same problem.
Unfortunately I do not have a Linux machine to install on at the moment. Maybe next weekend.

Thanks - in QT\2009.03\bin

Look in QT\2009.03\qt\bin.

Yes, thanks Lykurg. That was it.
Very strange having 2 bin dirs, but there you go.
A definite bug that it doesn't show up on the Windows menu after install, but it's working ok now.
