Please help me...I want to do a Sniffer

I would like to use Qt to be a sniffer,Who can give me some advice? Now I use winpcap library Ethereal,and the analysis to be a simple packet of information ...But as long as Click Capture button, the software interface will be choked to death, the software can not operate ...Who can help out this problem?I'm just learning Qt did not take long
