I began trying to learn Qt a while ago, but haven't got far yet due to other activities. In the meantime I've also been looking at various technologies for a project that I hope to run, which I'd like to build with Qt due to my fondness for the framework. I should probably also mention that my development platform is Linux.
Central to the idea are the Multi Pointer X and X Input 2 features of X11R7.5, but I have found nothing to suggest that Qt will support MPX in the near future.
I'm also trying to figure out whether the Qt developers are aware that multitouch could be supported through MPX. Ryan Huffman has been working on a driver -- xf86-input-tuio ( http://rhuffman.wordpress.com/ )-- that acts as a bridge between X.org and the TUIO multitouch protocol.
I have considered that it might be possible to patch support in for my project, but I really want to use the Qt framework in its official form.
