How to install Qt (qt-sdk-linux-x86-opensource-2010.03.bin) on ubuntu 10.
I read this Attachment document from Qt-site when downloading but i can't undertand it ....
please i am new in linux and Qt, so i need anyone show me obviously.

The document:

On Linux/Unix, you need to make the file executable in order to run it. You can either do this with your desktop's file manager or, at the command line, type:
chmod u+x qt-sdk-linux-x86-opensource-2010.03.bin

You should now be able to execute the file as normal. You can do this from the command line by typing:
./qt-sdk-linux-x86-opensource-2010.03.bin

Thank you for your time......

Please, do not start two threads of the same topic. What do you not understand?

Do you know what a console is? Read about the "cd" and "ls" command and then follow the instructions you are given. Or like any Windows user just click the file. (Before that you might must left click and make the file executable)

First thank you,
and i didn't understand what you mean by your question!!
,But i tried to use the commands that you advice me to read .
- i didn't think that Ubuntu must see the directory then execute it (it works, Praise be to Allah).
- Sorry if i ask a bad questions but i needed to force myself to work in linux.
finally you help me at any case.
Thank you ....... i hope better for you.
