Good day to all. I am having a hard time using phonon to create a simple time-based track mixer. The problem is, that phonon is reporting an invalid length (time) of VBR-encoded mp3 files. I have also tried opening the same files with foobar, winamp, vlc and WMP. All these programs recognize the time correctly. For example any track that is really 5:13 long is reported nearly twice as long by phonon. This bug can be reproduced also with the mediaplayer example.
I have googled for a few days now and it seems the problem is actually with the microsoft directshow filter. I tried installing the ffdshow-codecs, but it had no effect on the phonon. Also tried compiling the phonon dll again but with no luck. Is there a workaround for this problem.
