Apple vs Nokia

Interesting to see how this battle will end, and what kind of an effect (if any) it will have on Qt.

The stakes are certainly higher for Apple. Nokia, I believe, is the world's largest manufacturer of cell phones, but their penetration in the US market has been quite small; they are extremely popular in Europe and Asia, however. So losing the US market means little to Nokia. But it means everything to Apple, which sells the bulk of it's units in the US, on the order of 50% of total worldwide sales.

In the end, I expect that money will simply be exchanged in order to settle the matter, rather than risking extended legal manuevering and sniping.

15 years ago, I would absolutely love to get an Apple. I even had an Apple Performa 630.
Now, I couldn't care less. Beautiful machines, but the whole "we decide for you" philosophy is not for me.
