Why wouldn't it be? It has regularly made the news lately...

I wonder why this has so little echo in the forum, while the news about the deal with Microsoft was so hot debated, yet, this news, in my view is so much more important.
I am ashamed to say, I was so busy in the last two weeks, that this news escaped me until today.
I still haven't read much about it to make a firm opinion, but from the looks of it, it sounds like a good thing, which I was hoping for (coupling a commercial interest in keeping Qt alive and further development, specifically on the desktop).
But I will have to read some more to make a more solid opinion about it.

For me it seems like "outsourcing" the sales and support departments. That's all. It's not that Digia will invest into developing Qt, they will just sell licences to companies who need it. So again this is all in the area of marketing & sales.

After a long time I am back to Qt, and it doesnt seem like an auspicious time to come in :(

Did Digia publish some books on Qt? Or was it on Symbian?
