View Full Version : Qt Designer suddenly not allowing new widgets or relocation of existing widgets

I'm aware there are some similar posts, none of which characterize my problem.

Seemingly out of the blue, I can no longer drag existing widgets around on my form. I can also not drag new widgets out of the tool box (unlike other posts, the tool acts like I never even clicked on it)

I can still drag and resize the corners / edges of existing widgets on the form.
I can still manually enter x and y coordinates in the widgets' properties panel to move it around.

I cannot escape this behavior despite creating a new project, opening a sample project, or reinstalling QT. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you're using some external application for customizing Windows look and feel then disable it and all will return to normal.

Case closed. Solution: Reboot Computer

Thank you for the quick feedback however I am not using any such application.

After rebooting my computer designer started working properly. The fact that a reboot solved the issue while re-instillation didn't indicates the possibility of some external interference, though I have no idea what.
