App can't be killed?

My App works online when net goes-off it has to work in offline mode also. its working fine(i..e when the app is online when net connection goes-off we can switch to offline or after net is back we can work in online.) The App is working as described above; But after that App can't be killed, I don't understand why?
Any help will be appreciated.

Clearly some step at the closing doesn't succeed. You should be able the trace in a debugger what happens. Perhaps a thread is getting shut down first, but it doesn't succeed when it tries to close the network connection that isn't open... and then the chain of closing down signal doesn't proceed.
