Opeating System Selection?

Hi Friends,

Am new to Qt, I am going to work with qt for embeeded linux, have a doubt to install an operating system.
I googled and found lot of Linux OS available. much confused to select one of them.
so please suggest me which version of Linux Opearting system is better to work qt for embedded linux..

Please also specify what other requirements needed for (Qt for Embedded Linux)..
