Hi!

I'm working in Qt to develop a multimedia application for Set Top Boxes.
I'm using the companion media player of the STB to play video streams. The operating system in the STB is Linux based. To visualize the playing video I'm using a chroma key, which means that I choose a color than I paint a fullscreen rectangle filling it with this color and the video becomes visible.

It works just fine, except when I'm drawing a semi-transparent image to the screen in the background I see only the chroma key, and not the video. I've tried everything: using different image types (png, tiff ...) and also painting semitransparent rectangles manually (using a painter) but it doesen't work. I also tried using widget attributes such as WA_ContentsPropageted, WA_NoSystemBackground ... etc etc ... but I didn't succeed.

Can anyone help me with that?
thx!

Hi, beatrob.
Have you found your way out? I wonder whether the Imaging SDK (http://www.yiigo.com/guides/csharp/) I am testing about these days can help with your problem or not. I am not very sure about it. But you can also google it and select a professional 3rd party Image Processor (http://www.yiigo.com/guides/vbnet/how-to-process-image.shtml) whose way of processing is simple and fast to help you with the related work. It will be better if it is totally manual and can be customized by users according to our own favors. Remember to check its free trial package first if possible. I hope you success. Good luck.
