We are seeking a Software Engineer with Qt experience to join our highly motivated team of cutting-edge technology developers to support our U.S. Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama. SUMMARY:
The Qt GUI Software Engineer will join our experienced engineering team to help design and implement an application to interface with a condition based maintenance (CBM) device. The ideal candidate must be proficient in developing complex Qt (including GUI) apps on Windows, Handheld and/or Linux platforms. Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Ajax, html, php is a plus. Candidates must be receptive to learning new skills in software development methodologies. This mission critical position helps with the design and implementation of complex CBM systems that will be deployed on many Army missile systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will perform technical planning for the development of new Qt applications, as well as re-hosting existing applications to new platforms. The candidate will be involved in all phases of the development cycle and will be responsible for the life cycle of the assigned application, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration and test, working with IVV to make sure the application passes all qualification tests, and sustaining the application after release. The candidate will also manage analysis of problem reports and implementation of bug fixes and enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a US Citizen. Active Security Clearance is a plus. Candidate must have a strong background in the design, development, and support of Qt and C/C++ programming languages in a Windows or Linux environment. Candidate must have good troubleshooting/debugging skills and be able to recommend detailed and concise code improvements. Candidate should have strong background in requirements implementation with minimal guidance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineer or Software Engineering and one (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. For this position, BTI will consider only applicants with security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
