what is difference between in Qwidget and QmainWindow?

QMainWindow is a subclass of QWidget that adds a menu bar, tool bars, status bar and dock widgets.

Short answer is: QMainWindow is an specialized QWidget (specialized to be the main-window of an application - it has more "stuff" then QWidget: layout, menu, status-bar, toolbar)
