From the qwt installation notes:

"It's not possible to load a plugin, that has been built with MinGW into a Qt Designer/Creator, that has been built with MSVC ( and v.v ).
This is a common reason for problems, when working with prebuild binaries of the Qt Creator."

How do I know if QtCreator has been built with MSCV or MinGW? I have installed the QtSDK 1.2.0 on Windows 7 x32 and I don't have a clue.

Also I've followed the instructions in this other thread http://www.qtcentre.org/threads/41470-Qwt-Installation-Help, I can import and use the libraries but I can't find the widgets under QtCreator->Design to include them in the .ui files, also in Help->About Plugins the qwt is missing.

It's frustrating to waste hours and hours to solve these kind of problems.

Edit: qwt version:6.0.1
