CubeSmart is one of the largest owners and operators of self-storage facilities in the United States. The industry in the United States consists of approximately 45,000 facilities with 2.1 billion rentable square feet, out of which the top ten operators collectively own approximately 14.8% of the aggregate rentable square footage market share.

Our strategy is to grow our property portfolio by being a consolidator in the highly fragmented self-storage industry. We believe these acquisitions will offer the Company economies of scale by spreading our management expertise and operating efficiency across a larger portfolio. We look to maximize the cash flow from our facilities by increasing rents, increasing occupancy levels, controlling operating expenses, and expanding and improving the facilities.

This position will be responsible for the following:
•Provide first level support by answering, evaluating and prioritizing incoming telephone, voicemail and email requests from both corporate and field personnel with hardware, software, networking and other computer related problems
•Remotely installs new hardware and software upgrades in accordance with established procedures and software licensing agreements.
•Assists in the set-up and installation of new personal computer equipment.
•Accurately document issues for knowledge base
•Escalate calls as appropriate to other IT team members.
•Monitors computer virus activity and assists in the deployment of virus protection software on personal computers.
•Assists in administration of computer equipment changes resulting from personnel changes, including new hires, terminations, transfers, etc.
•Maintains a professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
•On-time regular attendance.
•Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

Requirements

•Computer skills, word processing, spreadsheet and database software knowledge.
•Basic understanding of computer networks
•Familiarity with mobile devices
•Ability to work with and train end-users with various degrees of computer knowledge.
•Well-developed analytical and problem solving abilities.
•Effective time management skills and strong attention to detail.
•Ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy and document the results of efforts.
•Ability to operate standard office equipment and follow office procedures.
•Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
•Must be an effective team player.
•Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
•Effective oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
•Strong administrative and organization skills.
•Must be flexible to work day, evenings and weekends as needed


Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Nature of work requires an ability to effectively communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents and operate standard business office equipment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a CRT and assisting users on the telephone. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds of computer hardware and related equipment. Work performed in a general office environment.
