I while ago, there was a QtTelnet class. Why was that class removed ?
I know that I can acheive a telnet connection using QtcpSocket, and then develop myself the handling of telnet protocol messages, but this is a huge task.
All this was done in QT, why removing it ?

See http://doc.qt.nokia.com/solutions/4/qttelnet/qttelnet.html
This class was in qt-solutions not in Qt. You can read and get sources frome here: http://qt.nokia.com/products/qt-addons/solutions-archive

QtTelnet is not listed in the Qt Solutions Archive or Qt Solutions git repository.
I could fairly easily find copies on the Internet by searching for "qttelnet-2.1_1-opensource" e.g. http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/ftp.trolltech.com/pub/qt/solutions/lgpl/
