Hi,

We recently released version 4.0 of our InstallBuilder tool. Among other improvements, it includes a Qt 4 frontend on Linux platforms (in addition to GTK on Unix, Win32, Aqua frontends)

InstallBuilder allows you to create native, self-contained, easy to use installers for your multiplatform applications. It supports Linux, Mac, Windows, Solaris, and a most other Unix platforms. It allows you to generate RPM packages on Linux. The generated installers have native look and feel and integrate with KDE, Gnome, Windows desktop.

We offer free licenses for open source projects. In fact, a big percentage of our open source users use it to package Qt-based applications

You can find more information at http://bitrock.com

Does is support QT 4.2? The references on the website refer only to QT 4.1.
Just curious. We just upgraded to QT 4.2 and we currently build our own installers. It might be worth checking out.

Thanks,

Karl

Hi Karl, it will work with any Qt version, as the installer has its own static version of Qt embedded and does not link with your application code (it just packages it)
