Hi,

I'm very curious and excited about if Qt 5 will support Windows RT and ot course let us to make Metro style applications.

Anyone has any information(new ones) please submit here and let us know the progress.

Hi,

This is the latest news regarding the subject from the qt support team.




Qt is already working well in Windows 8, and integrates well with the desktop side of what is Windows 8.
WinRT API on the new Windows RT release is somewhat different. We are working on supporting this, and have the first few parts of it implemented. But this is not finished yet, and will be available in a supported version of Qt 5 later. There is no fixed timeline for this, but we would expect it to take from 6 to 9 months before this is supported. It is however important to mention that most if not all of your Qt code would then very easily be portable to WinRT.
