I have been posting various queries but didn't get a fruitful reply. I have a plaintextedit in my gui app and I wish to link it to the compiler present in qt. Can anyone suggest me the steps to do the same?? Such that if I write some code in a plaintextedit, I can get its output.. My app looks like this...

In this (http://www.qtcentre.org/threads/57147-Linking-textedit-to-the-compiler)thread you received quite useful answers. What's wrong with them ?
The problem is that probably for you "fruitful reply" == "working code"...

You have already been told what tools you need to use to do this:
Linking textedit to the compiler

Here it is again: QProcess specifically QProcess::readyReadStandardOutput()

... and you intend to continue until someone provides a cut and paste solution.

Thread closed.

This is most likely a resource troll, i.e. an attempt to divert resources from Qt developers who are in need of help to the troll's "problem".
The long term goal of that is usually to frustrate the advanced people on the forum, making them leave or show up less often, resulting in lots of unanswered threads, making the forum look bad.

No idea why QtCentre is targetted but it is not the first time.

If any of you is also spammed in the PM Inbox let the Admins know.

Cheers,
