Qt5.5.1: QtCreator fails at startup with undefined symbol: XIQueryVersion

I have installed Qt5.5.1 on my machine running SUSE Linux:

SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 (i586)
VERSION = 11
PATCHLEVEL = 3

QtCreator is crashing at start up with:

./qtcreator: symbol lookup error: /home/Qt5.5.1/Tools/QtCreator/bin/plugins/platforms/../../../lib/qtcreator/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5: undefined symbol: XIQueryVersion

I have read the web and can't find the exact solution to my problem.

Any thoughts?

Found the reason. A Q patch is needed for the version of SUSE X11.

Can you give more details on how you resolved this issue? I've got the same problem on SUSE 11.4
