develop with Qt in the "cloud"

I'd like to try development with Qt using virtual servers on Amazon. Googling the topic I immediately found -this post- (https://forum.qt.io/topic/49567/how-to-correctly-install-qt-5-4-and-have-it-run-on-amazon-ec2-free-ubuntu-instance) with no replies, describing the problem of using Qt Creator on a free Amazon microserver.

I will appreciate "how to" advise or link to any successful installation of Qt/Qt Creator in such environment.
