Opening Serial Port in ui

Hi,
I am so new in qt,
I am designing a ui which controls hardware,
So I need to reach serial port,
I use the example code exactly, but when I compile it, there is an error :
QIODevice::write (QSerialPort) : device not open

I already check the hardware with Control Panel and it seems everything is ok.
