Update Qwt

Hi, I have Qwt version 5.2.3 and I want to update it to the newest version available. I did download and install qwt 6.1.3 but when I run my another application which needs latest version of qwt is still showing me the older version. Can you please tell me how to update or uninstall older version?

I too have the same problem.....

I need QWT 6.1.0 and QWT 5.2.3 shows up, im sure that this is affecting the installation but cant figure out how to remove it.

Im running KALI LINUX
