Qt5 supported version in qwt

I am trying to build a qwt based software on gentoo linux. The stable version of Qt on gentoo is 5.6.2. The examples from qwt-6.1.3 compiled fine, but they gave a run time error. What Qt5 version does qwt support?

All versions >= Qt 4.4 ( including all Qt5 versions ) are supported and known to work.
