Layouts and allowing view to stretch with main window

Hi,

I posted a similar question about making a view stretch as the main window is yesterday and was pointed in the direction of layouts. I've looked at them and still can't work out how to do this without having to write code myself to capture the resize event and change the size accordingly. Is there a way of just putting my widgets in a layout and when the user resizes the main form the widgets move accordingly?

Yes, that's the whole point of layouts :) If you use Designer, try this, it shows the basics (layouts are mentioned near the end):
