Show dialog in the task bar

I have two dialogs that I'm loading via .exec(). One shows in the task bar but the othe one doesn't. Why? What properties control whether or not the dialog appears in the task bar or not?

A modal dialog with a parent does not show a task bar entry but a dialog without a parent does (at least on Windows).
