Could someone suggest some good reference material for implementing styles? Perhaps some in-depth tutorials, in addition to the one NorwegianWood example would be helpful.

Yes...
I Posted the link (written the June 05, 2009) just to make people aware that it exits.
I believe that readers interested by QStyle will come across this thread and might be please to find this link.
Even if the first post was a long time ago, it is still wortwhile to mention.
