Is QSound all there is?

Is the QSound class all there is for soundcard accesss? I am looking for a comprehensive class that will give access to streaming audio from the inputs and outputs of the soundcard. The cross-platform application will eventually end as a DSP of that audio. So far all I see is QSound. It is OK if all you want to do is read a .wav file, but that is all it seems fit to do. Did I miss something?

No, sound support in Qt is very limited.

Best to use a third party audio library. I don't do any audio programming, so I don't know what options are available.
