Yesteday Nokia announced that it has completed the acqusition of Trolltech. The Oslo stock exchange has decided to unlist Trolltech (last trading day June 17, 2008). The acqusition will mean that Qt will have an even stronger owner and meet even bigger markets. Nokia will work with Trolltech to accelerate the cross-platform software strategy for mobile devices and desktop applications, and develop Trolltech's Internet services business.
Nokia plans to continue to develop Trolltech’s products and continue to drive sales to new and existing customers. In addition, Nokia acknowledges the symbiotic relationship Trolltech has with the free software community through Qt and will continue to support and enchance this relationship.
