using Q::desktop flag

1. When and why do we use Qt:: desktop

2. If my window size is say 500x500 and the Qt:: Desketop is set, then does it mean that all applications I launch will be confined within this window? It didn't happen when I tried it :P

3. Can you give me an example other than it being used as "Desktop" in the literal sense?
