Are both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows 7 supported?
I mean can Qt be compiled to run as a 64 bit application under the 64 bit version of Windows 7? This is not clear from the list of supported platforms.
Yes, at least with msvc 2008 or the platform sdk. Just open msvc command prompt for x64 development and build qt from source. I have no idea about mingw or other compilers.
Anyway remember that Windows 7 is not a tier 1 platform, so there could be some bugs.

Well, I kind of suspected this since Windows 7 is such an important platform. And if it works now that Windows 7 is tier 2 it will work for sure when Windows 7 becomes tier 1 right?
Still I think it could be more clearly stated in the documentation. Official support for a platform is stronger than the fact that someone has tried it and it worked. And even if it's stated that Windows 7 is supported, it's not at all obvious that both 32 bit and 64 bit are.
Platform support is paramount for a platform independent application framework and I think Qt should match Oracle's clarity for Java like here,

Anyway thank you.
