    Default S60 tower installation nightmare

    Hi,

I'm despaired! I have tried to install the preview installer of 4.5.2-tower on my Kubuntu 9.04 and 8.10 hosted VirtualBox. I tried it with WinXp+Sp2, WinXp+Sp3 and Vista, but always the installer unpack the data (twice, why soever) and then nothing but CPU is 100% (the installer and csrss.exe).

But happily I can unpack the data with 7zip, but I am lost where to copy the data on my system. If one of you had successfully installed tower please can you tell me, where the file are located:

    Qt Code:
    1. $OUTDIR // I guess its c:\Qt\4.5.2-Tower?
    2. + bin
    3. + bin
    4. + doc
    5. + ... // continues wirh the normal Qt directories like in the desktop edition ...
    6. +epoc32
    7. + $PLUGINSDIR // is that just NSIS, so can I forgett about it?
    8. - InstallOptions.dll
    9. - modern-header
    10. - qtnsisext.dll
    11. - modern-wizard
    12. - StartMenu.dll
    13. + epoc32 // is this inside the s60_5th_SDK installation?
    14. +data (with subdirs)
    15. +release (with subdirs)
    16. $PLUGINSDIR // where the heck is that? Carbide? S60 SDK? Or are that also just NSIS things.
    17. - System.dll
    18. + $PLUGINSDIR
    19. - qts60ext.dll
    20. - UserInfo.dll
To copy to clipboard, switch view to plain text mode

And may be what other system variables are set beside PATH, e.g. what mkspecs?

    Any help is welcome! Thanks.
