    Qt is a cross-platform application and UI framework. Using Qt, you can write web-enabled applications once and deploy them across desktop, mobile and embedded operating systems without rewriting the source code.

    The KDE Community has made the release plan for the new Qt4 based version of KDE available. First beta is scheduled for the end of June, first release candidate on end of September and 4.0 stable a month later.
    KDE is one of the most popular window manager for the Unix platform and the largest Open Source Qt based project. Availability of an Open Source Qt4 version for Windows platform is said to bring the KDE quality applications to Windows desktops.

    Exactly one year ago – on Jan 5, 2006 – QtCentre.org was announced to public. Throughout this year we've been doing our best to provide you with the best possible place to share your knowledge related to Qt through the forum and wiki and we intend to continue doing that.
