Building for linux from MacOS

Hi guys,

I was wondering is there a special flag, that you can pass when compiling a qt application to build for linux or unix when running qmake on your project?

I wrote trolltech about this a couple weeks ago. According to them you can't, however they said there were some attempts at one time.
