COPY,PASTE operations in Q3CanvasView

I am using Q3CanvasView to create a graphical editor.In this graphical editor i have various graphic items.
So for these graphic items , i want to provide a COPY and PASTE option.
Q3CanvasView does not provide any of these by default.

Can somebody please help out ,to how to achieve it .

If you are creating a new program you should definitely not be using the Qt3 compatibility classes.
