Color banding issue with gradient images in Qt Embedded

Hi,

I am facing color banding issues for gradient images when rendered on arm target. Please help me in solving this issue. Details are as follows,

I developed a qt application which displays a png/jpeg image(gradient composed), when i execute the application on my DM385 target then i get a very bad image on LCD which is different from original image means to say the image is not dithered enough and color banding issue is seen. I checked the color depth of target, which is 32 bit and qt also renders image as 32bit. Inspite of being same depth i get this issue. I googled a lot to solve this issue but colund'nt find proper solutions. Any help would be really appreciated.
