QtChart LineSeries SplineSeries question

I have been using Qt for years but never played with QtChart. If I'm using data from an SQLite database which is various data point values sequence via an epoch MS time, do I simply keep adding series to graph to show gaps of say, 5 seconds?

Thought I would look for an example or confirmation before I burned time going down this path.
